National Brewery Heritage Trust Update

In spite of the continued disruption and uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, 2021 was a busy and successful year for the National Brewery Heritage Trust. Work on the National Brewery Centre (NBC) Online Archive has continued apace, with new additions added regularly. Plans are now underway to expand the remit of this unique resource to include free access to some of Britain’s most illustrious brewing companies, work that is being supported by a grant from the Brewers’ Research and Education Trust (administered by the Brewers’ Company, with support from the British Beer and Pub Association). Though the ‘linked archives project’ is very much a long-term ambition for the Trust, they are off to a flying start with Shepherd Neame lined up as their pilot collaborator.
