Charity & Education

In common with many Livery Companies, the Brewers' Company has inherited responsibility for several charitable Foundations and Trusts over the years. Its charities, which between them distribute around £2 million annually, support four schools, as well as awarding grants principally focusing on young people and the needy.

Schools

The Brewers’ Company supports the education of young people at the Aldenham Foundation and Dame Alice Owen’s School, both located in Hertfordshire.

Supporting the education of young people at Dame Alice Owen’s School in Potters Bar and in the London Borough of Islington, the Dame Alice Owen Foundation distributes around £1.5 million in grants each year.
